We can make decisions to accept His will or reject it.<br /><br />Baptism introduces sanctifying grace into our souls, bringing us into "communion" with the life of the Trinity.<br /><br />When we freely chose to commit a mortal sin, we break our communion with God, and expel him from our soul.<br /><br />We cannot change our nature nor our baptism. We can cut all ties to God through our will.<br /><br />(We can even do this during Mass!
