The stated preference for Gregorian chant, for example, was tossed out in favor of the strumming of guitars (which like a time machine always brings me back to the '70s)...As was the reaffirmation that Latin was the preferred language of the Church. I especially enjoyed watching and listening to (and reading the English translation of) Pope John's speech from his balcony the night before the opening of Vatican II.
