I have two teenagers who grumble about going to mass and how many of their friend's parents don't "make them" go to mass anymore. These type of homilies keep our young people engaged and they can relate to the message. We all can. I thank you for you great homily and your vocation. Seriously, there are so many needs today, with the economy and the state of the world. It's hard to know the best way to make a difference.

However, I would support your going onto video. So often I try to explain to others what I've heard and seen at Holy Family, but I don't remember the details. This way I could go to the replay, just like a football game;-)

Irish GalAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4808375493800890797.post-23105297784543382102009-09-22T15:38:13.111-04:002009-09-22T15:38:13.111-04:00Irish Gal: where have you been? Welcome back after being absent for so long from the comboxes here.

Reading between the lines of your comment I sense there's something you weren't quite ready to say more directly.

So allow me to take this opportunity to thank you for thinking of making a "private donation" for funding video capabilities in the church!

While such support is not necessary, your gesture is very much appreciated.Concord Pastorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18322127779647130869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4808375493800890797.post-58012199825167536562009-09-22T14:25:48.251-04:002009-09-22T14:25:48.251-04:00Concord Pastor,
About making videos of yourself......Concord Pastor,
About making videos of yourself... how exactly would that work? Would you self-finance, seek a grant from the archdiocese, or look to private donations for this "next big step" of your internet ministry?

Irish GalAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4808375493800890797.post-19737824080020683442009-09-22T05:56:33.152-04:002009-09-22T05:56:33.152-04:00I thought I left a comment, but maybe not.

(After the 9:30 and 11:30 Masses two kids left with a baseball in hand and big smiles.) Gotta get to work on video possibilities in my sanctuary. I'm surprised that with your day job you don't have video of your homilies on your blog - I'm sure you have the techo-stuff at hand!Concord Pastorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18322127779647130869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4808375493800890797.post-67360814572616428562009-09-20T15:00:16.597-04:002009-09-20T15:00:16.597-04:00A beautiful expression of today's scripture. ...A beautiful expression of today's scripture.
