Here's a video of the funeral procession for Ollie Lawrence on Saturday, July 14, 2007. Ms. Lawrence was not a member of our parish but in the video you'll see parishioner Glen Burlamachi (in the top hat!) and his wife, Beth - and some shots of our parish church as the procession passed by on its way to the cemetery.

That was lovely. Thanks for sharing it. The goal of a happy funeral is one that is shared with traditional funerals in New Orleans. Unfortunately, I've never seen one of those.

ReplyDeleteI don't know why I didn't think of checking google for Ollie before today. I miss her so much, and I was sad to miss the celebration of her life. Thank you for posting this, so I could be a part of it, and remember Ollie with fondness and respect.
