A saint from Hungary who fed the hungry
The people of God of Acton-Boxborough gathered on the steps of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church
Because many of my readers have friends in Acton and Boxborough, MA I'm publishing Saturday's Saint of the Day a day early so that you can wish your friends in our neighboring towns a happy feast day on the occasion of the memorial of their parish patron saint, St. Elizabeth of Hungary.
Elizabeth was only 24 years old when she died but she led a full and beautiful life in the spirit of the gospel. There's something appropriate about her feast day falling so close to Thanksgiving since she is the patron saint of charities. To learn more about her life, click on Saint of the Day under LINKS on the sidebar.
And special feast day greetings from ConcordPastor to all our loyal readers in Acton and Boxborough!
