The view from your window...
The Site Meter at the bottom of the sidebar counts the "hits" this blog as received since its beginning on July 19. I get additional reports from this service including a list of the locations of those who come to this blog. The "location" is only guaranteed to be within about 50 miles of the actual location of the blog reader. And location refers to city or town - no street addresses, so your privacy or anonymity remains intact.
It's exciting to see how folks from around the country and around the world end up here! A quick, incomplete survey shows me that I've had visitors from Concord, Acton, Ayre, Dedham, Sudbury, Hyde Park, Shrewsbury, Waltham, Bedford, Melrose, Boston, Lexington, Quincy, Belmont, Westford and many other cities and towns in Massachusetts. I've also had visitors from New Hampshire, Tennessee, Rhode Island, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Minnesota, Illinois, Washington State, Washington, DC, Montana, California, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia and Louisiana. And that's not to mention those who have dropped in from Germany, Spain, France, Brazil, Venezuela, Poland, Egypt, UK, Philippines, Argentina, Japan, Sweden, Malaysia, Portugal, Hong Kong, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Chile, Peru and Singapore!
Some of these readers are regulars, some are one time visitors - all are welcome! I wish I could get all these folks together for a pot-luck dinner - imagine the variety!
A number of blogs and websites include a feature where readers send in photos of the "view from your window" which are then displayed online. I'd like to try that here at ConcordPastor's place. You can submit the photos anonymously (unless your email address gives away your identity!). I only ask that you give us the general location of your photo, e.g., "Chicago, Illinois." I promise not to clog up your email with any response from me - and no one else will have access to your address.
So, above you'll see the view from my window this morning in Concord center. What do you see when you look out your window? You can send your photo to me at ConcordPastor@aol.com
