Imus in the morning
Sharpton and Imus on the air
Don Imus is back on the airwaves following his 8 months down time for racists remarks made on his program. The Rev. Al Sharpton whose comments back then figured prominently in the shock-jock's dismissal said this of Imus' return:
"Imus was fired. The move to hold people accountable was won. Whether or not he can, in the course of time, redeem himself, time will tell."
Now, I've never been a big fan of Al Sharpton but to hear a minister wonder aloud if a man can "redeem himself..."
Well, it gives one pause.

Al Sharpton continues to demonstrate that there is a distinction between a minister and a man of God.
ReplyDeleteAn offer of help and forgiveness would have been, in my obviously not so humble opinion, more appropriate.
