Peace further removes itself...
Let us pray for peace for the people of Pakistan...
The assassination of Benazir Bhutto has elicited the condolences of Pope Benedict XVI. Rocco over at Whispers gives us word from the Italian wires that "Benedict XVI was immediately informed of Bhutto's death. The attack, he said, "shows how extremely difficult it is to bring peace to a nation so ravaged by violence." As a result, "peace further removes itself."

I don't know what it will take to bring peace to our world. It is so sad, so disheartening to have such senseless acts of violence and murder continue. Not to bring politics into this, but I pray fervently that our next President and administration will make peace its top priority and will do everything in its power to end this persistent hatred that fills our world. We cannot go on this way. We must learn to value the inherent worth and dignity of each individual. We must bring peace into our own hearts. We must bring peace into the lives of all our fellow men. We must. We must.
