Modest drumroll, please...

I just realized that I've published my 500th post on this blog. Going back to my first post in July 2007, I see that I wrote: "I don't know if I have or can make the time to keep this fresh but I do know that if it becomes stale, it will disappear."

Well, I've found the time and I'm happy to report that writing this blog keeps me fresh! Your readership and commentary are an important part of what keeps me and my blog alive and well!

  4. Congratulations on your 500th post! I have read them all and along with the other commentors thank you, Concord Pastor, for the extraordinary array of postings you bring to us. The artwork, music, poetry (your own and other poets' work,) spiritual messages, information about the latest in the Catholic Church (local, national and international) and humor - all have served to enlighten me, lift my spirits and brighten my day.

  5. In my post above I had originally spelled "commentors" "commenters," but got that red line signifying misspelled under it. So I changed it to "commentors" and that passed. I looked up both words in my dictionary to find neither. So I went on line (after I posted this) and found that I was right to begin with! For good spellers I apologize. For those who think I am being a bit obsessive on this you are correct! In this post both "commentors" and "commenters" are getting the red line treatment. Go figure! I think I will forget about good spelling and go enjoy this gorgeous day!
