Been so busy this week in the parish and on my blog that I almost completely forgot to post the scriptures for this weekend! (And no one reminded me!)
(But someone did alert me to a faulty link below - which I have corrected: thanks for the heads-up!)
You'll find the scripture texts here, along with background material on the readings. This is a rich field from which the preacher can harvest his homily: naked people in a gared; Paul at his theological best; and Jesus going one-on-one with the devil in the desert!

Perhaps your own Lenten program will include preparing for Sunday worship by studying the scriptures for Mass ahead of time.
