Whence your hope?
From this week's first scripture...
Have you done your scripture homework? Remember: it's due, at the latest, by the time you arrive for Mass this weekend.
You can find the scriptures and background materials on this weekend's text at the St. Louis University liturgy site.
Got kids? Then you'll want to go here for some help with preparing them for Mass this weekend.
The "theme" for the papal visit was Christ Our Hope and that's just where this Sunday's first lesson leads us.
Don't let "spring fever" keep you from taking a look at the Lord's Word before you come to prayer this weekend.

First of all, I was delighted to see the twists of humor that Colbert used in his monologue and his interview. Sometimes humor does, indeed, heal... I think it is great that this widely-watched show should feature someone like Father James Martin; how refreshing to see someone of his spiritual persona and literary ability be featured. Goodness seems to infrequently enjoy the limelight these days...Finally, your point about the historical and continuing social services works of the Catholic Church are something we should be proud of.
