A week ago this morning I was at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston's South End for the ordination of 27 new permanent deacons. Among the newly ordained was Gregory Burch of Holy Family Parish (home of ConcordPastor), making the day a joyful one for our faith community.
But the joy does not end with news of the ordination. Gregory has also been assigned to Holy Family Parish and I look forward to the gifts his ministry will bring to our community.
This is the season of ordinations, a time to pray for all of those in holy orders and all who share in the ministry of the gospel.
