    Lovely. I heard on WBZ that a gas station owner in Brockton has lowered the price of gas considerably as a Rosh Hashana gift to everyone. I used to know the Hebrew word for this type of giving, but I cannot remember it.

    Mitzvah is the word I think I was looking for. I am catching up with your blog posts I've missed, but reading most current first followed by earlier ones. I just read Glossary of Terms below and I believe that the Hebrew word I was searching for is mitzvah.
