This is the seventh day of the novena for wisdom and counsel as we prepare to vote in the presidential election.

A Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Breathe into me, Holy Spirit,
that my thoughts may be pure.

Give me your wisdom, Holy Spirit,
that my words may be true.

Draw my heart to you, Holy Spirit,
that I may love what is good.

Strengthen me, Holy Spirit,
that I may defend what is right and just.

Give me courage, Holy Spirit,
to live and to act
in fidelity to the Lord's Word.

Protect me, Holy Spirit,
that I may stand blameless
in the light of your presence.
