Most readers here know that Cardinal Sean O'Malley has a blog on which new posts appear every Friday. Yesterday's edition winds up with these words:

Finally, next Tuesday is, of course, St. Patrick’s Day. In honor of the feast day of our patron saint, we are planning an announcement of an exciting new initiative that will be made here, on my blog.

Check back Tuesday for the good news!

To my knowledge, this is the first time the cardinal has used his blog as the vehicle for making what appears to be an announcement of some import. Perhaps he's following up on the pope's statement in his recent letter to bishops that the Church needs to be more savvy about the internet and its potential.

I'll be keeping an eye on the cardinal's blog on the 17th! (A link to the cardinal's blog is always on the sidebar here.)
