Chanticleer sings Biebl's Ave Maria.
This version of Ave Maria come from a modern German composer, Franz Biebl (1906-2001).
Written in 1964, this is Beibl's most well known composition.
Biebl intersperses some chant verses with the familiar text of the Ave.
The piece is introduced with:
Angelus Domini, nuntiavit Mariae,
et concepit de Spiritu Sancto.
The angel of the Lord declared unto MaryAve Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum;
and she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
benedicta tu in mulieribus
et benedictus fructus ventris tui Jesus.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you;The second interpolation is:
blessed are you among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Maria dixit, ecce ancilla Domini,
fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum.
Mary said: behold the servant of the Lord,Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum;
let it be done to me according to your word.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you;The third gloss on the Ave text is:
blessed are you among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

and dwelled among us.
