Christmas: a breath from heaven...

This is a beautiful song, background here for the Nativity scene from the movie of the same name. The immediate appearance of the three visitors from the east is something not supported by the scriptural accounts of the Nativity and yet there's something in Mary's eyes at the end that testifies to the import of Epiphany in the Christmas story.

May this Christmas be a breath of heaven stirring in your soul...

  1. Watched the news regarding the mass from the Vatican (despite what happened there) and then viewed this -- Jesus came into this world so poor and simply. The pomp of the pope/cardinals bothered me. How did we get there? And why?

  3. I just watched this for the first time. How extraordinarily beautiful! It really brings home what Mary endured (with the help of kind Joseph) to bring Jesus into the world. Thank you Mary and Joseph.

My stepdaughter Emily and her husband Jim just had their first baby November 15, a boy Peter. As with so many of the fathers today, Jim was right there! Theirs was in a hospital surrounded by all of the help of modern medicine.

Seeing this video makes me realize how truly amazing it was for Joseph to be there to help Mary.
