O KEY OF DAVID, O royal power of Israel
controlling at your will the gate of heaven:
come, break down the prison walls of death
for those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death
and lead your captive people into freedom.
Let us pray...
Christ Jesus,
you are the key to the happiness of our hearts.
The darkness of sin
and awareness of our weaknesses drag us down,
but you have come to lift us up and redeem us.
We place all our hope in you who have freed us from sin.
Teach us to open the doors of our hearts
to you and to one another
through awareness of the mystery of your presence in others.
Lead us into the light of your love and grace.
Amen.
