H/T to Mike Hayes over at Googling God (at Busted Halo) for this first installment of what promises to be a great series with Fr. Jack Collins, CSP: You Don't Know Jack!
How would each of us have done with Fr. Jack's questions had he met us on the street?
I learned something. I thought that it had been an official feast day since the 1800's. Was there always a feast in honor of Mary that day? My mother was born on the 14th and was named Mary in honor of Our Blessed Mother and had a lifelong devotion to her. In Italy it is called Ferragosto and is a national holiday. Hope you enjoy yours. Reach out to the people of Haiti with health care, education and community development through Health Equity International (formerly known as the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation).
I look forward to the continuation of this series with Fr. Jack. It struck me that a lot of catechesis is needed in New York!!!
ReplyDeleteI passed this test with flying colors. We'll have to see what happens on future tests!
