Fr. James Martin, SJ has an excellent post up on the blog at America's blog, In All Things. The post is titled, Why Do We Suffer?
No new solutions to the problem of evil here but, indeed, a very concise and helpful review of the questions and how we grapple with them.
While Martin raises the question in light of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, anyone living with suffering will find wisdom in this post.
This is very much worth the reading.
