Respect, compassion and sensitivity

The Church teaches in its Catechism that gay and lesbian persons "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity."

On America's blog, In All Things, James Martin, SJ asks the question, "What does that mean?"  What does it mean to accept gay people with respect, compassion and sensitivity?

That's a very good question and Martin offers us a very good response.

Well worth your reading, right here.
