A young man in my parish took this photo of a snowy owl on Plum Island. Great shot!
This owl strikes me as a kind of guardian angel, perched high above, keeping an eye on all that happens below... keeping an eye on us...
God's wise eye of wisdom surveying our lives and loves...

a little boy I work with (4 months old) had a new hat today- it was hand knit and it was an owl.
ReplyDeletethis was a VERY windy day and on our walk this morning I put down the overhead covers on the 6 seat buggy to try to sheild the children from the cold wind-
I could see the owl's two eyes "looking at me"- it made me smile and feel okay-
wisdom...
