Praying 10 Mintues a day: a Novena for Pentecost

A novena consists of nine days of prayer. The first novena was the prayer offered by Mary, the apostles and other believers as they prayed for the coming of the Holy Spirit between the time the Lord ascended into heaven (40 days after Easter) and the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday.

Beginning tomorrow on Friday, May 18, you'll find a novena post here with scripture, prayer and song for each of the nine days between Ascension Thursday and Pentecost Sunday.

These novena posts will offer reflections for the ongoing series,  Praying 10 minutes today...

(Those who will celebrate the Ascension this Sunday are, of course, welcome to join us on Friday!)
