Happy Fourth of July!

On the Fourth of July, let's remember the inscription on the base of the Statue of Liberty, offering a haven, a refuge for the burdened and battered.

For more on the inscription, check here.

In the video, Irving Berlin provides the musical setting for this stanza from Emma Lazarus' poem:
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
