A midday prayer: MONDAY 3/4

 

God said to Moses,

"Remove the sandals from your feet,
for the place where you stand is holy ground..."

 -Exodus 3

 

 

In my own little corner of the world, Lord,

   show me the holy ground of your presence 

      in prayer, in the lives of those around me

         and even in myself...

And teach me, Lord, to take off my shoes

   and walk with gentle care in your presence

      and through the lives and hearts

         of those whose paths cross mine...
