Pause for Prayer: FRIDAY 7/5

Let the words of my mouth meet with your favor, Lord,
   keep the thoughts of my hearts before you...

Lord, there are thoughts renting space in my heart,
   a place where they've no right to be... 

And, too many words spill from my lips
   before I consider their meaning... 

Clean house in my heart and sweep away all
   but the thoughts that are pleasing to you...

Place a guard at my lips and govern my speech
   lest I do any harm with my words...

Let the words of my mouth find favor with you, Lord;
   let the thoughts of my heart be loving and just...
