Pause for Prayer: THURSDAY 7/18

Thanks, Lord, for the day at hand,
   the day before me,
      the only day I have today...

Thanks for all this day may hold:
   its blessings, its burdens
      and its unexpected gifts...

Thanks for help and comfort
   when worry shadows every step
       and trouble weighs me down...

Thanks for folks I'll meet today:
   brothers, sisters, friends and strangers,
      each one loved by you as you love me...

Thanks for every step I take
   and for the strength to take it:
      walk with me, Lord, be always at my side...

Thanks for this day's work and rest,
   for all that I get done
      - and bless what I put off until tomorrow...

Thanks for always being there for me:
   help me find and make the time I need
      to sit and be with you...
