Probe me, God, know my heart;
try me, know my thoughts.
See if there is a wicked path in me;
lead me along an ancient path.

Interrupt me, O God, and get my attention.
Nudge me, and tell me the truth.
Make certain I don't miss the point
And encourage me to take it to heart.
Interview me, O God, and ask hard questions
Corner me and don't let me off.
Challenge me if I seem vague or evasive
And bring every hidden thing to light.
Investigate me, O God, and expose my guilt
Bust me and I'll quickly confess.
Insist I be completely honest
And the truth will set me free.
