On September 14, the Church celebrates the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

As you pause to reflect today, here are the scriptures for for this feast, a prayer, and the powerful hymn, Lift High the Cross...

God of Glory,
the Cross shines as a sign
of fidelity to your will
and a symbol of your love
for the world.

Bless us who find salvation
in the cross of Jesus;
may we always see his glory
in the weak and suffering 
in those whom the world condemns.

We ask this through Christ, 
crucified and exalted,
Lord forever and ever.
Amen.
