O God, send into our hearts:
the light of your word,
your Spirit's wisdom
and the sword of your truth...
Lead us, we pray:
through fiction to fact,
beyond lies to the truth
and through darkness to light....
Bless our minds, O Lord,
with the power of knowledge,
the grace of counsel
and the gift of insight...
Help us to know what's right,
to choose what's good
and to do as you'd have us do...
Give voters your blessing,
our nation your grace
and all peoples peace...
Send into our hearts all we need, Lord:
to pray for guidance,
to act with prudence
and to vote wisely...
