On the windowsill in my prayer room,
even the miniature daffodils know
to turn, stretch and reach for you, O Lord,
and for the warmth of your light...
They look up, turning their faces to yours,
drawn by your word and wisdom,
nurtured by truth and grace,
waiting for you
and at the same time held
in your gaze...
Make me as wise and faithful as daffodils, Lord,
growing and flowering,
longing for your face,
seeking your light
and thriving on the warmth
you offer to all...
Lord, let your face shine upon me!
Amen.
Lord, let your face shine upon us...
Psalm 4
