In the morning, Lord,
I open the curtains and raise the shades
to let in the light of day...
Remind me then
to pull back the curtains veiling my spirit,
to let in the light of your presence...
Whether cloudy or clear the day,
your light shines through and illumines my soul
when I raise the shades hiding my heart...
Shine on me with your light and warmth
from dawn to dusk and through the night
when I draw the curtains again...
