Christmas decorations and displays are making their appearance at the mall so I thought it might not be too early to post this reminder of what Christmas is all about.
Every charitable and social service agency you know will be looking for your help in the weeks ahead.
Imagine what a difference we could make if each of us were as generous to these groups who need so much as we are generous to family and friends who need little of all that we'll give them.
Imagine the difference if we budgeted 50% of what we'll spend on Christmas gifts (and decorations, entertaining, wrapping paper and postage) as a gift to those in need. Or 25%. Or even 10%.
The infant Christ is still homeless, hungry and cold in the lives of millions around the world: how will we care for him and his needs on his birthday this year?
