Lord,
whatever word you speak to me today,
and you will,
help me hear and take it to heart...
Whoever you send for me to serve today,
and you will,
help me serve my neighbor freely and generously...
Wherever you might lead me today, Lord,
and you will,
help me follow wherever you go...
Whenever you call me to task today
and you will,
help me respond quickly and humbly...
However you reveal yourself to me today,
and you will, Lord,
help me see you and welcome you...
Whatever burden you give me to carry today,
and you will,
help me carry it with strength and grace...
Whatever you ask of me this day,
and you will,
help me to do it without grumbling or complaint...
And whenever I forget you today, Lord,
and I will,
forgive me and turn my heart again to yours...
