Pause for Prayer: FRIDAY 3/29

I take so many things for granted, Lord,
so many things for which I should be grateful, like
     - your grace helping me make it
          from one day to the next...
     - the courage I find to face the things
          that used to overwhelm me...
     - the compassion to reach out and serve
          in ways I thought beyond my grasp...
     - the loyalty that keeps me faithful to friends
           when friends aren't faithful to me...
     - the endurance to continue 
         when I'm ready to throw in the towel....
     - the faith to trust and believe
           on those days when I just can't find you...
     -  the hope that keeps me going
          when despair's a tempting option...
     - the people in my life who are there for me
           in good times and in bad...

I take so many things for granted, Lord:
make me grateful today
for the graces and gifts that fall
all the time
from you hands into mine...

Amen.
