What a shame, Lord, were my burdens and fears
to keep me from the simple joys and blessings
you'll offer me today...
Help me see that in the hardest of times
you don't hold back your help but rather
you multiply the ways you care for me...
Let nothing keep me from seeing and hearing,
tasting and touching, knowing and enjoying
the many gifts you leave along my path...
Though this day may have its troubles, Lord,
let nothing keep me from the peace and refreshment,
the grace and delights,
that come my way from your hand without fail...
