In the morning, Lord,
I open the curtains and raise the shades
to let in the light of day...
Remind me then
to pull back the curtains veiling my heart
to welcome the light of your presence...
Whether the day be cloudy or clear
your light shines through to illumine my soul
when I lift what shades and shields my heart...
So shine on me, Lord, with your light and warmth
from dawn to dusk and even at night
when I draw the curtains once again...
