Pause for Prayer: THURSDAY 4/23

  

I need a quiet place to rest
and time to catch my breath...

I need to be alone with you, Lord,
I don't want any social distance between you and me,
so, relieve me of my worries,
free my heart of fear,
hold my burdens in your strong hands...

Lift my soul to you in prayer,
help me trust that you are there... 

Let me hear the word you speak
and help me answer from my heart...

Give me strength to do your will,
help me follow where you lead...

Bring me through this day in peace
and give me peaceful sleep tonight...

And that's all I need today, Lord,
   that's all I need today...  

Amen.
