NIGHT RAYER: Tuesday 11/2

 

I'm in the middle of packing and moving 

- this Thursday morning!  Lots to do and 

time is tight so I've chosen a post from my

archives that has particular seasoonal

and personal meaning for me this week! 

 

Help me sort through my heart, Lord, 
   and do a little fall cleaning...

Help me separate the good stuff from the junk,

   the keepers from the trash... 

 

Help me drop what weighs me down 

   and overcomplicates my life...

Help me pitch what I don't need, 
   all that clutters up my way...

 

Help me let go what steals my joy

   and burdens me with worry...

 

Help me lose what keeps my heart from yours
   and clear a space for grace to make its home... 

 

Again and again and again, Lord,

   teach me to simplify, simplify, simplify!

 

Help me sort through my heart, Lord, 
   and do a little fall cleaning...

Protect me, Lord, while I'm awake

and watch over me while I sleep

that awake, I might keep watch with you

and asleep, rest in your peace...

 Amen.
