I won't know all the stories and the worries,
the pain and the problems,
the hardships and the heartaches
weighing on the hearts
of those whose paths cross mine today...
Nor will others know
the problems and predicaments,
the fears and the foreboding,

the dilemmas and the doubts
my own heart carries,
hidden deep within...

So, help me be gentle

with all I meet and know
