I posted this last week but a faithful reader has pointed out to me
that this is a quote from novelist Leon Bloy, not (as I had indicated)
from theologian Teilhard de Chardin - though both men are French,
Catholic authors.
Taking a very small step to advance truth on the internet, I have now
deleted the first post!
