Redeemer
In laying down your life for mine
you redeemed me, Lord, from sin and death;
you exchanged my guilt for your saving grace
and gave me hope for eternal life…
Jesus, you’re my Redeemer!
Good Shepherd
You know me, love me and call me by name;
when I go astray, you search me out;
when I leave your flock, you bring me home;
you hold me and carry me, close in your arms…
Jesus, you’re my Good Shepherd!
Lord
You’re my master and I am your servant;
you call and command me to live by your word;
your reign over me, my heart and my soul,
you’re my King and I bow low before you…
Jesus, you are my Lord!
Anointed One
You are blessed with the oil of gladness,
anointed by God as his Only Son:
anoint me, Lord, with your mercy and grace
and touch my heart with joy even now…
Jesus, Anoint and bless my soul!
Wonder-Counselor
You alone know the depths of my being, Lord:
all my questions, my doubts and confusion:
give me your counsel, your wise advice
and the trust I need to follow your word…
Jesus, Counsel my mind and my heart!
Healer
You know all my hurt and all of my pain,
the depth of my wounds and my brokenness;
reach out gently, Divine Physician,
heal me and make me whole again…
Jesus, you are my Healer!
Suffering Servant
You suffered for me, Lord, in silent pain,
you wore a rough and thorny crown;
you carried the Cross of all of my sins
to spare me from all I deserve…
Jesus, you Served and Suffered for me!
Shield and Strength
You protect me, Lord, my guard and defender,
my power, my armor, my cover:
you stand between me and all that is evil,
you’re my safety, my stronghold, my rock…
Jesus, you are my Shield and Strength!
Prince of Peace
You offer me peace, you give me your peace,
you are the peace of my heart’s desire,
the peace for which I hunger and thirst,
the peace that is only yours to give…
Jesus, you are the Prince of Peace!
Lamb of God
You take away the sins of the world,
you take away the sins of my soul:
to you, the Lamb be blessing and glory,
all praise and honor for ever more!
Jesus, you are the Lamb of God!
Word of God
You are the Father’s Word made flesh;
you have the words of eternal life:
yours is the word of wisdom and truth,
yours is the word I long to hear…
Jesus, you are the Word of God!
Bread of Life
You nourish my empty, hungry soul,
you fill my hungry, lonely heart:
feed me, Lord, with the bread of your mercy
and strengthen me with the bread of your life…
Jesus, you are the Bread of Life!
Light of the World
You are the beacon that shines in the night,
the light at the end of my tunnel:
you are the light that never goes out,
the light on the path I walk in this world…
Jesus, you are the Light of the World!
Merciful Judge
You are the judge in the court of my soul,
you know all my faults and my failings,
but the sentence you give is always mercy,
setting me free to begin again..
Jesus, you are my Merciful Judge!
Hope of all Nations
You are my blessed assurance, Lord,
that I’m loved, healed and forgiven:
you make certain my every heartfelt prayer
that all, in the end, shall be well…
Jesus, you are my Hope!
The Way
You’re my route home when I get lost;
you’re the path through my greatest fears;
yours are the steps that show me the way,
the road that leads me to peace…
Jesus, you are my Way!
The Truth
You are the word that seals my faith;
you are the wisdom grounding my thoughts;
yours are the lips that tell no lies,
that reveal what’s just, real and right…
Jesus, you are my Truth!
The Life
You are the spirit that breathes in my soul;
you are the blood that pumps in my heart;
you are my everything, you are my all,
my life, Lord Jesus - you are my God…
Jesus, you are my Life!
