NIGHT PRAYER: Friday 10/24

 

For this day's joys and blessings, Lord:

    I give you thanks and praise...

 

On this day's pain and problems:

    I pray your healing touch...

For any good I did today:

   I'm grateful for your help...

And all I've left undone, Lord?

    Help me get to that tomorrow...

For any harm I did today:

    I pray for your forgiveness...

For any hurt I may have caused:

    I pledge to make amends...

For the time I spent in prayer, Lord:

    thanks for always being there...

For the ways this day has been a gift:

    receive my grateful prayer...

 

And to everything tomorrow holds

  in mystery and surprise,

open wide my heart and soul, Lord,

    to the grace a new day brings...

 

Protect me, Lord, while I'm awake,

    and watch over me while I sleep

that awake, I might keep watch with you

    and asleep, rest in your peace...

Amen.
