NIGHT PRAYER: Tuesday 6/16

All shall be well, all shall be well
and all manner of things shall be well...

I pray those words often, Lord,
    and I trust those words
because I trust you
and I put my faith in you...

But sometimes I think:
   yes, all shall be well
but what about right now
when things are not yet well?

Well, I know even now
in the midst of all my problems,
        my troubles and confusion,
even now you're with me, at my side,
you're my Shepherd, you're my guide
    and already, even now, Lord:
        I shall not want,
I shall not want for more,
how could I ask for more?

Even now
you're enough for all my needs
and I shall not want, Lord,
I shall not want for more,
how could I ask for more?

Before our regular closing verse,
take some time and open your heart
to pray with this amazing song...

Psalm 23 (A Psalm of Hope)

The Lord is my Shepherd
And I shall not want I shall not want I shall not want
The Lord is my Shepherd
And I shall not want I shall not want for more
How could I ask for more?

He leads by still water
And I shall not want I shall not want I shall not want
He leads by still water
And I shall not want I shall not want for more How could I ask for more?

He is enough for ev’ry need
He is enough for ev’ry broken dream
The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want
I’m satisfied with what He gives
He will provide and faithfully supply
The Lord is my Shepherd
And I shall not want

He leads through the valley
And I shall not want I shall not want I shall not want
He leads through the valley
And I shall not want
And I shall not want

He is enough for ev’ry need
He is enough for ev’ry broken dream
The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want
I’m satisfied with what He gives
He will provide and faithfully supply
The Lord is my Shepherd
And I shall not want

He is the Night, He is the Day
He is the Sun, He is the Shade
He is the Ocean, He’s the Stream
In ev’ry song He is my theme
And if we wander off alone
His mercy calls us home
His mercy calls us home Back to home!

I feast at His table
And I shall not want I shall not want I shall not want
I feast at His table
And I shall not want I shall not want for more
He is the Strength to conquer sin I shall not want for more
He’s faithful when my trust is thin
I shall not want

Protect me, Lord, while I'm awake
and watch over me while I sleep
that awake, I might keep watch with you
and asleep rest in your peace...

Amen.
