My initial reaction (before reading "this") was that it was an Elmer Gantry-type figure,i.e., fire and brimstone type of preacher. I think the people in Poland are making a stretch of their imaginations, but then I guess I did too!

ReplyDeleteWell, it looks to be a figure on fire. People see angels in clouds, the Blessed Mother on buildings, doors, toast, and pizza pans. Some say it is only what we want to see. Others say it is a sign. I truly think this one is just a flame resembling a human figure.

I try not to go to the "bad images" that people believe they see. Do I believe Mary comes to us on the side of a building or in a frame of glass...no, well...maybe in some images. Such as Lourdes ...etc. But what I do believe is that people are looking for faith in many shapes and forms, and if these images bring people closer to God and the Blessed Mother, and give them peace and happiness, by making them feel closer to God, I say go for it!Anything that brings the love of God into our hearts can't be all that bad. For many of us the world can be cruel, but I find hope whenever possible, and that's not wrong at all in my book.
