Where in the world do they come from?

A question in one of the comboxes asked how folks find this blog. That happens through readers who pass the word along (thank you!), through other bloggers who link this place to their own (thank you!) and through Google and other search engines which link folks here through their searches (thank you, all!).

I thought you might be interested in who visits here - or rather, where my visitors hail from. (I only get a report of location - no identities.) The following is a list of "home towns" from my last 100 readers. I've omitted from the list those who are local (within the Archdiocese of Boston).

You'll see that this list includes a number of folks from Texas and Louisiana who were searching for info about Bishop Michael Duca on the Internet.

  2. Thanks for the kind words. I stay humble because the real work is offering something folks keep returning for. Searching for a topic and coming to my blog is one thing - getting these folks to want to return - now there's the work!

Unfortunately, my SiteMeter does not distinguish between visitors and unique visitors so I don't have hard numbers on that. However, after a while I do begin to recognize repeating locations so I know that around the country and around the globe I have some steady and faithful readers.
