Fireworks - now!

I know it's only the day before the night before the 4th of July - but sometimes you just have to have fireworks NOW!

If that's the case, enjoy the clip above - and here's a fireworks display you can create on your own! Turn up the volume on your computer, click on the link above, then move your mouse randomly and click all over the dark screen that appears. Enjoy!

Happy Fourth of July!

  1. Happy July 4 everyone!!! Preparing for a cook out...pray for no rain. We may go to watch fireworks in nearby Danvers Plains Park. Always a great show...

  3. Anne: I grew up in Danvers and I know the Plains Park well! My recollection from my youth is not so much of fireworks there but of a great bonfire - does that still happen?

  4. We've lived in the Danvers-Peabody area for 20 years and there have always been fireworks at Plains Park. I remember huge bonfires growing up in Lynn at certain parks. I'm guessing the fire depts declared them too dangerous for heavily populated areas. What happens in Concord on the 4th? I love that area. My good friend lives in Wayland and we sometimes go to shop and have lunch in downtown Concord.

  5. Thanks for the awesome fireworks! Who doesn't love them -- they're beautiful, fun, exciting and full of surprises. I especially like the very last one that always comes when you think it's all over with! Happy 4th of July to all. Stay safe.

  6. I will be watching the fireworks show in Northeast Harbor, Maine.

Thanks for the previews! The loud noise put me in mind of my late sweet dog, Lucy. Fireworks noise terrified her. Also, the cannons and muskets on Patriots Day. Bless her heart. Wherever Lucy is, I am sure she now can enjoy the show without the noise!
