Have you done your homework for the weekend? Have you looked at those scriptures you'll hear proclaimed on Saturday evening of Sunday morning? Time's a'wasting! If you don't have your bible at hand - not to worry. The scriptures, background material on them and hints for helping children get ready to hear the Lord's word are all right here.
We will be celebrating the Third Sunday of Advent - the day for the rose candle on the Advent wreath and one of only two days when the vestments worn are also rose-hued. The lighter color reminds us that we are half way to Christmas and our celebration of God's Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us!
And now: it's time for us all to do our homework! (Homilists, too!)
