Pocket checks...

In my homily this morning for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, I spoke about my daily "pocket check" before I leave the house each morning. I check to make sure I have my cell phone, pager, handkerchief, comb, business cards, money clip, next Sunday's scriptures, pocket notebook and pen. I went on to say that what I really need to do is check to find Christ in the pocket of my heart and to contemplate his presence there as my day begins... like Mary who kept the memories of Jesus' birth in her heart and reflected on them... (Luke 2:16-21) In light of my homily, a parishioner emailed me this video: it's humorous as it starts out but ends up in the pocket of our hearts... (H/T to Fran)

  2. I do not mean to pry, but with your new haircut why do you need a comb?!
