Shine on, shine on harvest moon...

The days grow shorter and I wish I could reach out and grab hold of summer's last traces before her '09 appearance comes to an end... The time I can spend on my porch -resting, reading, praying and blogging- diminishes daily as the temperature drops slowly into autumn with hints of winter I try to ignore...

But there's a beauty in this time, too, as nature begins to paint the trees and shower leaves like a carpet underfoot... And last night, a glowing harvest moon with beauty hard to resist even as she shines on summer's leaving and fall's knock upon the door...

Season after season the Lord walks us to the promise of yet another spring, with memories of springtimes gone but not forgotten in our hearts... Walk with us now, Lord, and take our hand along the way...

Thank you for your lovely thoughts. As I wait to hear news of a friend's dying daughter, it is good to be reminded that Spring, and happier times will come again, by God's good graces.
